Flight Training
CLAA offers advanced specialty courses for the following certificates:
Certified Flight Instructor

This is a personalized flight training course geared towards helping you become a safe, proficient and competent pilot.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a commercial pilot certificate
- Hold an instrument rating (for helicopter CFI)
- Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language
- Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate
- Have logged at least 250 hours (200 for helicopters) and the required training for the CFI rating per FAA regulations
- Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test
Certified Flight Instructor Instrument

If you're interested in becoming a flight instructor, then you're in luck — flight instructors are in high demand right now, and this particular career path is expected to remain in demand for quite a few years, according to some experts.
Pilots choose to become flight instructors for many reasons. For many, it's a dream job and a primary source of income.
